Nan takes masters bowls honours
A big tap on the back to each and every participant...
The past weekend saw the 2017 club Novices singles being played. Nine players participated and there were some truly amazing bowls played. A big tap on the back to each and every participant. There were three section winners, namely Sheryl Hesom, Jo-Ann Melville and Taryn Bierbaum. Sunday saw the plays and after some 67 ends of bowls being played, Jo-Ann Melville came out on top as the overall winner, Taryn Bierbaum, second and Sheryl Hesom, third. Congratulation ladies.
The weekend also saw Nan Roos taking part in the KZNCD Masters played in Newcastle. What an ambassador this lady is for the town! Nan was declared the Masters Champion after beating Nola Dreyer of Vryheid in the final. Congratulations Nan, you are a graceful champion and inspiration to us all.
The club wishes the following members good luck and good bowling as they represent KZNCB in the Quadrangular Tournament in Pietermaritzburg this weekend. Nan Roos, Sylvia Malan, Dougie Slabbert and Greg Conolly.
