Vryheid’s Buurtwag celebrates 3 year ‘Birthday Bash’

To every person in the Neighbourhood Watch, from the start, thank you for all your contributions and patrols. Thank you. We've had our ups and downs, but we still remain a mean team."

WHILE it may be difficult to imagine that Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch has been around for three years already, the organisation that has become such a prominent role player in the Vryheid community, in fact, turned three on April 23.

“Thank you to the Vryheid Herald and Elmarie for the cakes,” said Andrè Rheder.

Patrolling members and household members gathered at Ntingonono Hall on Saturday evening in the beauty of nature to celebrate the eve of this milestone, enjoying a special dinner and great vibes to commemorate the occasion, and birthday cake to sweeten the deal, of course.

Andrè Rheder gives a speech, thanking everyone for their contributions to the evening as Regine Victor gets a hug from Carike Rheder.

Chairman of Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch, Andrè Rheder, had the following message to share after the Neighbourhood Watch Birthday Bash: “Thank you to all who attended our three-year celebration… Giel and Christa, thank you for doing the arrangements and the food. Thanks to Elaine [and Mayor Martin Mtshali] for organising the hall, and to our resident DJ, Graham for the vibes, G13 for organising the jumping castle for the kids, Regine and Daniel Victor for the tables, the Vryheid Herald and Elmarie for the cakes, and every person who helped with equipment.”
