Maximise living in South Africa’s very own paradise by finding property for sale in one of the best estates in KwaZulu-Natal. Estate-living has become a desire for many families in the country, with improved security offering parents more comfort when enjoying time at home with their children.
However, settling in and taking on the expenses comes at a significant cost, so it is important to check out the options available and ensure that you are picking correctly. To ease the stress, we’ve taken a look at some of the best estates available in the province, and this is not any random list, it comes from the mouth of Carol Reynolds, who is the area principal for Pam Golding Properties.
Palm Lakes:
If you are just starting out, you and your young family will require a home in a well-priced estate. Palm Lakes is found north of Ballito in Tinley Manor and is perfect for starting out. Homes offering up to four bedrooms can be bought for around R3 million, which is an affordable price when it comes to estate properties. Scenery on offer in the estate includes lakes while there are also community centres which can be enjoyed by the kids.
Cotswold Downs:
If you prefer something inland, try out Cotswold Downs, which is located in Hillcrest. If you are after a country vibe, then this is the option for you. Homes have a farm-style feel, while prices at this estate vary from R4 million upward. If golf is your game, then this estate will also tick the right box as it boasts its own 18-hole course.
Zimbali:
When it comes to the cream of the crop, then it is certainly hard to beat Zimbali. This estate is not only one of the best in the province, but was actually voted second best in the entire country. You can expect world-class security, excellent privacy thanks to the coastal forests, and stunning Balinesian architecture. It is also home to the Fairmont Hotel as well as a golf course. All of this comes at a price though, with entry level homes being around R6 million while some of the free-standing houses are valued at well over R20 million.
