Estates have taken South Africa by storm in recent years and become some of the hottest property for sale due to the excellent security benefits.
KwaZulu-Natal is, pardon the pun, a hot spot for families looking to relocate. Not only does this province offer a stunning warm climate, it is also home to incredible beaches, warm ocean waters and a wide range of family activities to enjoy on a daily basis.
This has made it a prime space for developers to create stunning estates, and to help you locate some of the best options available, we took guidance from Carol Reynolds, area principal for Pam Golding Properties, in her recent interview on the Afternoon Express.
Simbithi:
Situated in the heart of Ballito, this wonderful estate combines convenience and nature perfectly. Not only is there an equestrian centre on site, there is also an 18-hole golf course. Homes have been built with modern contemporary designs, while the placement in Ballito makes it easily accessible.
Palm Lakes:
Heading north of Ballito, you can find Palm Lakes in the quaint area of Tinley Manor. This is an ideal spot for younger families that want estate property but at more affordable prices. Here you can pick up a four bedroom home in the region of R3 million, while some of the highlights include lakes and community centres.
Zimbali:
No list of estates is complete without mentioning the incredible Zimbali. Found just outside of Ballito, this estate ranks among the best in the country, not only the province. Along with the Fairmont Hotel and the stunning 18-hole golf course, Zimbali features excellent security as well as stunning coastal forests. However, all of this does not come cheap, so be prepared to dig deep into your pockets to snag a property here – with entry level homes starting at a whopping R6 million.
