Roadworks between Hennenman and Kroonstad until December 2024.

Construction and roadworks are underway on the R726 between Sterkspruit and Zastron, causing partial road closures. A detour through Zastron is in place. The project is expected to be completed by May 2025.

Roadworks are ongoing with three stop-and-go controls in operation – Delays can be expected.

Roadworks currently taking place and will continue till 2025. Proceed with caution.

UPDATE on the R70 between Rosendal and Senekal. The Road will be closed from the N5 turn off onto the R70 for roughly 19km. There is a detour gravel road which is roughly 30km long. Necessary signs will be in place. The road should be closed until December. There are also Stop and Go roadworks on the R70 from Ficksburg’s side where you turn off towards Rosendal. The roadworks are approximately 12 km to the Tempelhof Gasteplaas turnoff. Waiting time is approximately 20 minutes.

This road is in a terrible condition and motorists are forced to use the shoulder of the road.

Reconstruction of the R707 between Lindley and Senekal is ongoing with Stop & Go controls in operation as well as bypasses. Please adhere to the road signs and reduce speed. Also be mindful of the labour force on the side of the road. Till Aug 2025.
