Phehellang continues to shine as leading school in Circuit 5

Congratulations to all these learners.

Phehellang Secondary School has once more upheld its tradition of academic excellence, achieving remarkable matric results. While the school’s class of 2024 recorded a pass rate of 98.1%, the Class of 2025, achieved an impressive 97.5%.

With 200 matric learners (the highest enrolment in Circuit 5), the school proudly secured the
number one position in the circuit. This achievement has also earned Phehellang a Silver Award from the Province, which is expected to be officially presented during
the provincial Well-Done function on Friday.

A total of 56.3% of the school’s matriculants have bachelor’s passes and 31.1% diploma passes.
Phehellang’s top achievers are:
• Sikhuba Thembeka Prescilla with distinctions in Life Orientation, Geography, and Life Sciences.
• Majola Memory Melohuhle with distinctions in English, Life Orientation, Geography, and Life
Sciences.
• Mubvanyika Prince excelling with distinctions in Mathematics, Life Orientation, Geography, and Life Sciences.

Speaking on the achievement, the principal D.S Maloyi-Mofokeng said: “This outstanding pass rate was carefully anticipated, as it reflected the learners’ consistent performance throughout the year.”

“Our educators are overwhelmed with joy and pride at this remarkable success. Managing and
nurturing 200 learners each from diverse backgrounds and with unique behavioural challenges has been both demanding and deeply rewarding.”

“At times, it has felt like being a mother to 200 children, each requiring patience, guidance, and
encouragement.”

“This milestone is not ours alone; it is the product of collective effort. I extend my deepest appreciation to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, the governing body, and
community partners. Without their unwavering commitment and belief in our learners, this achievement would not have been possible,” she said.

“As Phehellang Secondary School continues to shine as the leading school in Circuit 5, we remain humbled yet motivated to sustain this standard of excellence,” the
principal said.

SS Paki Secondary School’s 114 matriculants had a pass rate of 95,4%. and a total of 41 distinctions. The school’s top achievers are: Neo Nkhi, Mofokeng Thabang, Malebatso Kamohelo, and Mtikitiki Bongani (5 distinctions), Mogoai Thato and Galeboe Karabo (4 distinctions), and Mphafa Reitumetse (3 distinctions).

Barnard Molokoane Secondary School’s matriculants also delivered a strong performance, achieving an 88.5% pass rate. The Class of 2025 earned a total of 18 distinctions, with Miya
Teboho leading as the school’s top achiever with four distinctions and an average of 81%. Rorisang Mohloki and Siyabonga Nxago both got three distinctions, while Meli Relebohile earned two distinctions. Motitsoe Amogelang further contributed to the school’s success with one distinction.

Boitlamo Secondary School recorded a matric pass rate of 89.7%, with the 2025 class achieving a total of seven distinctions. The school’s top achiever is Tshepo Mofokeng, who obtained two distinctions.

Weiveld Agricultural Secondary School has a 70.1 % pass rate. The school’s top achievers are Moloantoa Busisiwe (4A’s), Lukhwareni Tambani (2 A’s) and Tsatsi Lesedi (1A).
