One bag, one boerie: The Wetland needs your hands
When a community comes together amazing things can happen.
Over the past few months, the dream of a wetland where communities can meet and boundaries disappear has slowly taken shape.
Tons of building rubble have been removed, clean-ups held, invasive plants cleared, and amazing work has been done on the rail trail.
Now it is the community’s turn to show up and make a difference at the Parys Wetland Park. Fifty volunteers are needed for a voluntary community clean-up project planned for September 12 from 08:00-10:00. The starting point is C/o End Street and Fourth Avenue.
All that is needed is a couple of willing hands and an hour or two to pick up litter in the Parys Wetland Park.
Apart from the shared goal of making a difference, volunteers will also have the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy what the Parys Wetland offers the community of Parys.
