Blanket Run this Sunday
The Carletonville Rotary Club is holding a special Blanket Run to raise money for underprivileged people on Sunday.
![The Carletonville Rotary Club donated a few metres of cloth to the community centre in Greenspark. People staying in the area going to use it to make ponchos that they can sell to raise money for the centre. President of the Carletonville Rotary Club, Marieta Venter, and another Rotary Club member, Jean-Pierre van der Poel, handed over the cloth to some of the centre's representatives. The Carletonville Rotary Club is holding a special Blanket Run to raise money for underprivileged people on Sunday.
The event will be held at The Pit Stop in Doornfontein and will start at 09:00. Bikers taking part will all receive cloth badges together with their entry fee of R60.
Everyone attending the event will be able to enjoy an English breakfast and a beer. Other members of the community are also welcome to join in the fun. To be able to enter, they will have to pay R50 or donate a blanket.
The blankets will be given out to underprivileged people in the area, many of whom do not have the means to keep themselves warm during the coming winter. People who need more information, can contact the President of the Carletonville Rotary Club, Marieta Venter, at 076 618 8809.
