Public vigilance helps nab two suspects for drugs

The tip-off from the public not only led to the arrest of two men, but also to the seizure of drugs valued at R4 000.

The Police in Tumahole continues to make significant strides in the fight against illegal narcotics following the arrest of two male suspects on January 7

Members of the Tumahole Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) were conducting routine patrol duties and stop-and-search operations within the Winnie Section when a tip-off from community members, led to two the arrest of two males using drugs.

Police also found a significant quantity of illicit substances such as Mandrax tablets and Crystal Meth worth an estimated R4000, in their possession.

​The suspects are facing charges related to the possession and suspected dealing in drugs, police spokesperson Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli said.
