Toyota scoops 10 Naamsa awards
Toyota has had to resolve some severe challenges during the past year, so this achievement certainly warrants recognition.
Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is proud to have won a total of 10 Naamsa awards. These include three awards in the new vehicles and manufacturing categories and four in the dealership classification.
Commenting on Toyota’s phenomenal recognition by Naamsa, TSAM’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Leon Theron, said, “On behalf of the Toyota family, we are pleased that these awards recognise all three arms of our business, which include sales (and marketing), manufacturing and our dealer network. The importance of interdependence between these divisions cannot be overemphasised, as it has become the cornerstone of our business success.”

It is also worth noting that SA’s favourite bakkie and best-seller (overall) so far this year, Hilux and Starlet, have doubled their accolades each by winning under both New Vehicle Sales and Manufacturing Awards categories.
Earlier, Naamsa’s CEO, Mikel Mabasa, announced that the awards will become SA’s only fact-based and prestigious motoring competition in the country.
“We are using our respected, trusted and independently audited datasets to recognise and acknowledge best-performing brands in different segments and categories across the entire auto value chain. We will also be recognising best-performing dealerships for the year under review across all our brands in South Africa,” said Mabasa.
