Since the early hours of this morning (10 November) gallons of water has been leaking in Russell street and Michael Heyns in Dassierand. Residents say they have contacted the municipality to no avail. Bonolo Mabe, who is a plumber, is currently on the scene trying to rectify the issue. Although the exact cause of this leakage is unknown, Mabe says it appears that meters are being stolen in the area.
The Herald asked the municipality for comment regarding the leakage. We will add it once it is received.
