The details are in the toast
Members of the Bacon & Egg Toastmasters Club enjoy their meeting.
A crisp cold morning on 15 June held no fear for the Bacon & Egg Toastmasters Club.
“Our meeting theme, presented by Janien Boucher, was ‘An attitude of gratitude’ and was a great success,” said the clubs Glen Campbell.
Bacon & Egg Toastmasters meets at 8.15am on Saturdays. “This means no travelling at night and after a hearty breakfast we have the rest of the day to do our weekly shopping,” said Campbell.
“Becoming a toastmaster introduces one to life experiences at all levels. These meetings are great fun and enable people to come together to learn about life in general and develop a positive attitude.”
He said everyone joined for a different reason. “Some attend to develop in the work place where they are given positive assistance on how to present at top level. Others socialise and discover various outlooks on life, all from a positive angle. Many of our members are community conscious and their aim is to help others to achieve their maximum potential in life.”
Everyone is welcome to attend as a guest. “Experience a meeting and then decide if you want to join.”
