Young designer’s fashion

Bridgeway High School hosts a fashion show at the Northlands Décor Park.

Bridgeway Christian High School held a fashion show on 22 October at Chamdor Fabrics at the Northlands Décor Park in North Riding.

School principal Maria Thiel stated, “For the past seven years, we have had a good fashion department run by Raita Steyn. Having it as a subject allows pupils who love fashion to pursue it as a career”.

The school invited different tertiary institutions to be a part of the fashion show. “We have been working with different student designers from institutions such as the University of Johannesburg and Studio 05 Fashion School who let our pupils model their clothing”.

Fashion designer and lecturer from Studio 05 in Rosebank Nashville Mungofa said, “Bridgeway as well as Chambor Fabrics have given young people a great platform to develop in the world of fashion. We loved being a part of the event. I hope the collaboration will continue and be better each year”.
