A mathematics marathon will be held at the Recreation Centre in Windsor East on 31 October.
Event organiser Eugene Lubbe said five schools will participate. “All together 10 pupils will get selected per school. The schools are Emmarentia Primary School, Kingsway Christian School, Robindale Primary School, Northcliff Primary School and Risidale Primary School.” The event will start 7am and will continue until 2pm, since the organisers want to make it regular school hours.
“A time table assessment will be done at every school and the HOD of Mathematics will be part of the evaluation, so in the end the strongest 10 pupils will participate.” Sponsors will finance the event.
