Best Wishes from Tim Truluck of Ward 117

VICTORY PARK- Councillor Truluck reflects on the year past.

I would love a ward where the problems reported themselves and where Santa’s Little Elves fixed them overnight with minimal disruption to the community.

Where a magic Mayoral wand would wave this way, and that way, and “zim zalla bim” our bins would have lids, our sidewalks would be walkable, Metrobusses would run on time and stick to their routes. Where a big wormhole would open up and transport the paid parking attendants to a suburb that needs them.

This past year we actually did see some progress: the roads in Rosebank were resurfaced, we are getting traffic calming in Parktown North, Fourth Ave Parkhurst is to get a zhoozsh and the pool is mostly open again, Zoo Lake is to get a makeover and City Parks are finally talking to the community regarding events instead of hiring out parks willy nilly for Miss Wet-Shirt competitions and music fests.

Let’s keep this momentum going.

I would like to wish you all well over the festive season and hope that we have a fabulous year.
