Merry Christmas from the Douglasdale Police Station

Douglasdale police wish the community a merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Douglasdale Police Station Commander Brigadier Leon Kruger reflected on 2013.

“The year has been one that is challenging with a lot of crime,” he said. “The Douglasdale police however, managed to stabilise crime with numerous operations held in conjunction with all the security companies, Community Policing Forums and community members.

“Many suspects were arrested for various crimes due to these operations being carried out. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the stakeholders and wish them all a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.”

He added that the police would continue to have a zero tolerance attitude throughout the festive period in an effort to fight crime.

The station’s members also expressed their deepest condolences to the Mandela family.
