Pub quiz masters

The Old Partonian Sports Club’s monthly pub quiz challenged participants and tested their general knowledge.

According to the sports club manager, Lizette Dmescher the pub quiz has been taking place at the club for the past five years to raise funds for soccer equipment and other expenses related to the club. “All kinds of people from various backgrounds train at this club, however not all of them can afford to train here,” said Dmescher. “It is through fundraising events such as these that we are able to help them cover costs.”

Organiser and quiz master, Gavin Taylor encouraged more people to take part in the pub quiz. “It is a family orientated environment,” he said. “Not only will you be helping to raise funds, but you will also enjoy yourself. We are well organised and create a great atmosphere of knowledge, fun and entertainment, not to mention good food and drinks with family and friends.”

Rafaro Dhlembeu, a Randburg resident said she had participated in two other pub quizzes at the club and really enjoyed her time. “My level of fun is however determined by the number of times I win,” quipped Dhlembeu.
