Songs at Honeydew Bowls Club

Enjoy a trip down memory lane at the Honeydew Bowls Club.

The Men in Red choir will perform at the Honeydew Bowls Club on 7 March.

With a ‘rhythm of life’ theme, the choir will take the audience through their days as babies in the nursery, then as teenagers, young men in the military and later, when wrestling with life, as sportsmen, married men, business and finally when they lost their memory.

Together with this, they will also perform songs from a variety of musicals, including South Pacific and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music.

There may also be nursery rhymes (though not exactly as your mother taught them), something about a hippopotamus and be reminded of the days you visited the drive-in with ice cream, candy floss and if that’s not enough, they might throw in shosholoza, a sporting medley and some old-fashioned spirituals together with some haunting strains from the Welsh valleys to entertain you.
