The Randburg Tennis Club championships are currently running until 16 March.

The Randburg Tennis Club, situated in Blairgowrie is no ordinary club as it offers a professional and social experience for anyone interested in the sport.

The club is affiliated to the Gauteng Tennis Association and has more than 75 adult and junior members. Member enjoy the facility that offers a total of six tennis courts, five of which are equipped with floodlights.

The club participates in league events year round, one of which is the club championships which started on 14 February and will end on 16 March. “The championships have been great, we have had to postpone many of the matches because of the rainy weather, but we continue to play when the sun is out,” said club committee member Eric Noel.

Noel explained that the club championships allowed the players to challenge themselves and have fun. “There is no age limitation as the championships are for people of all ages.”

The club also offers the Advantage Tennis Academy which was established in 1999 and has become a great platform for young people to be trained by highly qualified coaches.

Noel added that anyone was welcome to come watch the club championships and were welcome to join the club.
