Managing Director of Pikitup Amanda Nair has been suspended.
This is according to a media statement issued recently by Pikitup chairperson Dr. Nomonde Mabuya.
“Nair has been suspended and formerly charged – in summary, on matters relating to supply chain management and Municipal Finance Management Act, pending a disciplinary enquiry instituted against her,” according to the statement.
“Specific details of the charges levelled against Nair cannot be made public at this stage, in pursuance of protecting the rights of both Pikitup and the employee.”
Suren Maharaj, the company’s financial director, has been made acting managing director in Nair’s place.
