Burglar caught in the act in Blairgowrie
BLAIRGOWRIE – ADT's fast response catches suspect in the act.
A burglar was caught in the act, while breaking into a house in Nielson Drive, Blairgowrie, on 07 April.
The incident occurred at about 12pm when a suspect allegedly entered a house by breaking into a bathroom window.
An alarm was activated and ADT reaction officers arrived on scene and found the suspect inside the premises.
The suspect attempted to flee but the officers arrested him and found various stolen items in his possession.
The burglar was handed over to Linden police.
Managing director of ADT Central Region Clive Humphrey praise the officers for their prompt response to the activated alarm.
“By arriving at the premises so quickly, they were [arrived] in time to catch the burglar in the act and help put him behind bars,” Humphrey said.
“Therefore, we strongly advise that residents arm their alarm whenever they leave home as well as when they go to bed. Also be sure to secure gates and doors at all times, and report anything suspicious to ADT or the police immediately.”
