A bright lesson

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse Pre-Primary Randpark Ridge receives visit from Sunwise, pupils learn about sun rays.

Sunwise recently visited Trinityhouse Pre-Primary Randpark Ridge, teaching pupils and staff about sun rays.

With a policy of ‘no hat no play’ at Trinityhouse, the talk was an informative and fun lesson for the children to internalise why the rule existed.

Pupils and staff were given ultraviolet beads to place on their hats, so that when the children were out in the sunshine later, and watched as their beads change colour because of the ultraviolet rays, they had visible proof of the sun’s effect.

“In an ever changing climate I think we all need to be sunwise, and we look forward to hosting [Sunwise] at Trinityhouse during next year,”said Loraine Ruddy, principal of Trinityhouse Pre-Primary Randpark Ridge.
