I’m a daddy’s girl

RANDBURG - He has never showered me with gifts, but he has instead taught me to work hard for the things I want in life and to never give up.

I am sure everyone says this, but my dad is the best dad in the world.

Although I love both my parents very much, I have always had a special relationship with my dad, or Skidaddles as I call him. He has always been there for me and has supported me in everything I do.

He has never judged me for my mistakes. And, I know he will be there for me to cry on his shoulder and to pick up the pieces. I am grateful for all the times he has held me in his arms and said, “It’s going to be okay my girl,” and all the laughs we have shared.

He has never showered me with gifts, but he has instead taught me to work hard for the things I want in life and to never give up. I am who I am today, because I have a wonderful dad, who has been a role model and a pillar of strength.

So this Father’s Day I plan to tell him how great he is and to show him how much I love and appreciate him.

Who needs a hero, when you have a dad.
