Run for fun with the Sunflower Fund
PRESIDENT RIDGE – Putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising at Brightwater Commons.
Randburg residents are invited to come and enjoy the fun run/walk being held at Brightwater Commons on 5 July.
The 8km run will start at 7.30am, and the fun walk will begin at 8am sharp.
The event is hosted by the Sunflower Fund, whose sole purpose is to pay for the tissue typing of potential bone marrow stem cell donors for inclusion on the South African Bone Marrow Registry.
The more donors on the registry, the more hope leukaemia patients have of finding their life-saving donor match.
Runners and walkers can expect a fun-filled morning with lots to do for the kids on the lawns at Bright Water Commons. There will also be a 50m roll of material on which handprints can be made to show compassion for leukaemia sufferers and to give them hope.
Fun goodie bags go to the first 400 participants to pre-register with The Sunflower Fund or register on the day (Entrance 4).
