Trinityhouse celebrates literacy day

Trinityhouse prep school Randpark Ridge celebrate world literacy day.

Trinityhouse Preparatory School Randpark Ridge celebrated World Literacy Day.

Each pupil came dressed as their favourite characters from a book – from Alice and the Queen of Hearts, to Spud and even Gandulf.

Awareness was created for literacy by a fun quiz in assembly that focused on questions associated with literature from all over the world.

The school encourages every child to bring any spare books to the school which will later be donated to the underprivileged.

Dr Seuss was the theme for the colourful assembly and Grade 7 head teacher Karin Tzingakis presented the assembly dressed as Dr Seuss’ cat.

The importance of reading was emphasised by a famous quote from Dr Seuss, “The more that you read , the more things you know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
