Residents are warned to be on the look-out
RANDBURG – Stations in Joburg’s northern suburbs compiled list of suspicious vehicles and current crime trends.
Various Police stations across Joburg’s northern suburbs have appealed to residents to be on the look-out for certain suspicious vehicles which have been connected to numerous crimes.
Security in Practice (SIP) chairperson, Louis Grobler, has compiled a list of these vehicles.
Confirmed look-outs:
- White Toyota double-cab: One suspect, connected to theft out of motor vehicles.
- White Audi: Two suspects, connected to theft out of motor vehicles.
- Silver Toyota Tazz: One suspect, connected to armed robberies.
- Black Volkswagen Golf GTI: Two suspects, connected to theft out of motor vehicle.
- White Alpha Romeo with black mags: Three suspects, connected to house and complex robberies.
- Red Mazda Etude and white Audi A4: Large gangs, who are heavily armed, connected to cell shop robberies in the greater Johannesburg malls.
- Silver Corsa: Three suspects, two wearing black coats, connected to business robberies.
- Maroon Nissan Almera: Three suspects, connected to carjacking.
- White Volkswagen Jetta: Connected to armed robberies in the Bryanston area.
- White Volkswagen Polo: Connected to theft out of motor vehicles in the Sandown area.
- Grey Volkswagen Golf 6: Connected to theft out of motor vehicles in the Sunninghill area.
- Silver Kia and black Lexus: Connected to house robberies in the Buccleuch area.
- Red Opel Kadett: Four suspects, all armed, connected to attempted robberies.
- White bakkie with red lights on roof (looks like a construction van): connected to house robberies.
- Grey Toyota Avanza: One suspect, registration number starting with LW 09, connected to common assault.
