Do your part for the environment

RANDBURG - Clean up week is here, find some drop-off zones in your area .

RANDBURG – Do you have any items strewn around the house that you have no need for?

Many of us in the community have a variety of electronic goods that we do not need.

Items such as computers or televisions need to be disposed of in an environmentally safe and responsible manner.

Many of the elements used in these items such as chlorinated solvents, brominated flame retardants, PVC, heavy metals, plastics and gases can harm the environment and the health of residents if not disposed of properly.

Bright Water Commons asks the public to bring their unwanted goods to the shopping centre , where they will dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner.

In other parts of the country there will be a Recycling Day on 19 September which falls in the country’s recycling week 15 to 20 September titled, Clean-up SA.

Other drop off zones in Randburg are:

Brightwater Commons Shopping Centre, Republic road, Ferndale

Honeydew Metal Recycling, Plot 101 , Beyers Naudé Drive, Honeydew.

Pick n Pay, Northgate Hypermarket, Cnr Northumberland and Olievenhout Street, North Riding.
