Meet the school councillors of HeronBridge College

LANSERIA – HeronBridge announced 20 school councillors who help to build the school spirit and environment.

HeronBridge College announced its student councillors for 2015.

According to deputy principal Sean Muddiman, Grade 11s compile their CVs about themselves and their goals that they want to achieve as councillors.

The CVs are then displayed for the school to have a look at and to give other students an opportunity to select who they want and vote for them.

“The voting process is done democratically by secret ballot where Grade10s,11s and 12s, current councillors and staff vote for a maximum of six boys and girls. In addition, a vote for head councillor is marked with ‘H’ next to one boy and one girl, who is most worthy of being a HeronBridge head councillor,” explained Muddiman.

He added that votes that count most are from Grade 11s because they know their classmates the best.
