Breast cancer awareness

RUITERHOF - Friends and families promote breast cancer awareness in honour of their late friend who died of breast cancer.

Women of Faith Foundation held a cancer awareness event in honour of their late friend on 25 October.

Ruth Andongdou, founder of the non-governmental organisation said, “I went through a gruesome experience with my schoolmate

friend who was only 31 years old. She was at my house for a month battling with breast cancer and she had an aggressive type that had spread to bones and lungs. Unfortunately, she went to rest on 14 of August.”

Andongdou added that her organisation wanted to use October to highlight breast cancer awareness among friends, family and the community.

A member of the Breast Health Foundation came to address people and the theme was Let’s talk and act.

Women of Faith Foundation promotes women and youth empowerment.
