Trailer flips on Ysterhout Drive
BOSKRUIN – Bakkie's brakes fail and it looses its load in the rain.
A trailer overturned on Ysterhout Drive, Boskruin, in the morning of 12 November. The accident occurred between Rabie Street and Randpark Drive, and no one was hurt. The trailer belonged to Colt Contracting. Its workers, who were in the bakkie pulling the trailer at the time of the accident, explained that they were heading east toward Rabie Street when the bakkie’s brakes failed. They swerved to avoid vehicles, and the trailer came loose.
Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) and Metro Police were on scene. EMS and Colt Contracting employees pushed the trailer back onto its wheels and arranged for a towing service to take it away. The bakkie was only slightly impacted at the back, where the trailer hit it.
