The Basketball gods looked down and granted Saint Stithians Boys College a victory against a fierce team all the way from Zimbabwe.
Saints had to win this one as they lost their previous match against Royal Bafokeng.
Team Captain Kyler Mintah said, “The morals were low after we lost the previous match but we just decided we could not lose this one.”
This match was off to a heated start as the points started rolling in and Zimbabwe Schools Select almost edged ahead before half time but the boys from Saints took a sip of their energy drinks and won the game in the end.
“Its still far from over as we still have to win a couple of matches before we can win the competition,” concluded Mintah.
