LETTER: How can you plug hundreds of sockets into one plug?
ROODEPOORT – Reader challenges the government to create more jobs and halt further property developments in the country.
Leon Jordan writes,
I read you article about Rachel Smit, sad and yet a blessed ending, thanks to GOD for family.
The websites jobrapido, careers 24 and others, in my opinion is a money making scheme.
My wife and I have been trying for years with those websites and not a single response.
We have started a small business selling odds and ends over the internet.
It’s sad that people have to live this way and not even the banks want to help.
South Africans are unemployed because the Chinese market is taking over, why can’t we as South Africans manufacture and supply the rest of the world, if our government could stand by its people, jobs will be created.
Everything from petrol, food, clothing, rental, electricity and transport is increasing, but salaries stay the same.
Electricity is also a major problem, and yet if you drive around the Roodepoort and other areas, townhouse complexes are popping up.
How does the government allow this?
How do you plug hundred plugs into one socket and expect it to work and not overload?
How are these things getting passed by the inspectors and government?
Are these bribes or just stupidity?
We are also asked to switch of certain appliances at home every day, you see this on tv. Why must we do that, after paying more than we used?
Why must we pay if they are going to tell us when we can use it.
It’s like buying a car and they tell you when to drive it.
Why not put a hold on building all these townhouses and business premises till Eskom sorts its problems out?
Government, how can we stop crime in our country?
Easy, create jobs for your own people first before bringing in others.
Charity begins at home.
