A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in a collision with a bakkie at the corner of Judges Avenue and Woodley Road, Cresta, on 11 August.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing explained that when paramedics arrived on scene, they found a man, believed to be in his 70s, “lying face down in the middle of the intersection next to the bike”.
“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he sustained multiple severe injuries,” she said. “Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead.”
Bodasing concluded that the driver of the bakkie was uninjured and “the exact cause of the collision is unknown. However authorities were on scene for further investigations”.
