COSMO CITY – 15 people are injured after a taxi crashes into a wall in Cosmo City.

A taxi hit an embankment and then crashed into a wall, injuring 15 people in Cosmo City in the early morning of 18 August. The accident occurred on the corner of South Africa Drive and Angola Avenue.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring paramedics and fire services responded to the scene and discovered the taxi between the embankment and a building. The paramedics and fire services found all the occupants of the taxi, sitting on the pavement after climbing out the vehicle.

After assessing the passengers, paramedics concluded that 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. “Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment,” Meiring said.
