FONTAINEBLEAU – The DA branch of Ward 104 hosts its AGM.
Municipal elections are looming and political parties are gathering for their AGMs.
One such meeting was held by Ward 104 branch of the DA at Fontainebleau Church on 8 September.
Chairperson Alfons Mauchle opened the meeting with thanks to Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood.
“He has been everywhere for this ward and during my workings with him I have seen his agonies and his joys,” said Mauchle.
He alluded to the need to rope in as many volunteers from DA members in the community as possible.
Mauchle added, “We have 20 000 people in our ward and the DA has given us a task to collect 16 000 of those votes.”
In order to have a fair and free election, a quorum of 13 constituents needed to be present.
With over 30 people in attendance the elections were held and the new elected committee is as follows:
Chairperson: Alfons Mauchle
Vice chairperson: Philip Wood
Secretary: Alan Robinson
