Loyal Caxton advertisers for 30 years
STRIJDOM PARK – Local business, Bar One Security, has been advertising in the Randburg Sun for 30 years.
Caxton Randburg Sun newspaper is proud to say that Bar-One Security in Strijdom Park has been advertising in the newspaper for the last 30 years.
Bar-One Security owner and director, Barry Prangley said he started advertising in the newspaper in 1989 and has not missed one month since then.
“It used to cost R3 a week and you had to pay weekly at any Computicket,” said Prangley.
He originally started the business on his own but now his two sons, Craig and Wayne Prangley, as well as his wife Jeanette Prangley, each play a role in the business.
“The company started off with only two staff members and now we have a total of 32,” said Prangley.
He said he is very greatful toward Randburg Sun as the newspaper has helped their business source many clients.
Wayne added that they will continue to advertise in the Randburg Sun indefinitely.
“We like to advertise in the Randburg Sun as it ensures that our customers are local,” said Wayne.
He said many of their customers are housewives who came across them in the Randburg Sun.
“The newspaper has been good to us. For the first 10 years that was the only paper we advertised in, and through that, we managed to grow our business,”said Wayne.
He concluded by saying when the business just started off, they had a show room and it was only thanks to the Randburg Sun that the room was filled up every Saturday.
