OLIVEDALE – Three robbers damaged computers and ran away with undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

Three robbers stormed the Olivedale Super Spar at 2 am on 26 November and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

According to the Douglasdale Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan, the suspects tied up the security guard and broke into the shop.

He explained that they managed to access the office where there was money and manage to cut the safe with a grinder.

They allegedly ransacked the shop and damaged the computers.

“They fled on foot with the money and the packets of cigarettes,” WO Muthan said.

He further indicated that the other security guard who was on duty was alerted by the alarm.
