Shooting in Linden

LINDEN – Unknown assailants were seen shooting at a house in Linden.

Police have yet to confirm the motive for the shooting that happened in Linden at around 3pm on 5 December.

Neighbours said that they heard five shots being fired. Police responded to the shooting and were seen outside the house collecting statements.

“I heard the first shots and peeped out the window and saw a silver/grey VW Golf speeding off and picked up a young man and continued down the road,” a neighbour said.

The neighbour alleged that the shooters appeared to be shooting at a house across from his home and saw his neighbour shoot back at the attackers. He added that in total he saw about three men who were sitting in the car. “This is shocking as we don’t know if it was a robbery or something else,” the neighbour said.

Questions have been sent to Linden police. More details to follow.
