Family held up by 4 robbers

BLAIRGOWRIE – A mother and her son were held up at gunpoint and robbed in their home.

A mother and son are still shocked and traumatised after a gang of robbers held them up at gunpoint and fled with two cars and other items they found in their house.

The robbery took place on the corner of Barkston Drive and Collington Street on 9 March.

Four males in a white Mercedes Benz approached the victim in her driveway at her home. They pointed a firearm at her, then took her and her son into the house.

The suspects robbed them of various items from the house as well as two BMW’s that were parked in the driveway.

Both vehicles have since been recovered, one at Northcliff Corner and the other on the corner of 3rd Street and 4th Avenue in Linden.

Captain Alex Vermaak of Linden Police confirmed that a case has been opened but no arrests have been made yet. “There were fingerprints found at the crime scene and the investigation is still continuing.” He also confirmed that the mother and her son were unharmed. They are, however, shocked and traumatised.
