Joburg water plans interruptions

BRYANSTON - Upgrades leave parts of Bryanston without water

Water to the River Road from Belgrave Street to St James Crescent in Bryanston has been cut off since 8.30am and will last till 3pm on March 23 and should be restored between 3pm and 5pm.

The reason for the interruption is Joburg Water has planned to upgrade the reticulation in the area. Residents are reminded that level two water restrictions are in place and consumers are compelled to not water their gardens, wash their cars with a hosepipe or fill their swimming pools with municipal water between 6am and 6pm.

Additionally, residents can save water and take shallow baths, not leave taps dripping and use bathwater or grey water to water the garden. To be an active partner in reducing the amount of water used, report vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 080 000 2587.

Details: Joburg Water, 011 688 1400.
