Honeydew’s own Miss Inspire finalist

HONEYDEW – Local resident, Bhijal Parbhoo will represent Honeydew in the Miss Inspire South Africa finale.

Local Honeydew resident, Bhijal Parbhoo, has made it into the top 10 in the Miss Inspire South Africa 2017 pageant.

Miss Inspire South Africa is an inspiring programme for young and mature women, with three categories, including teen, women and queen.

The pageant places priority in involvement in the community, giving back and partaking in fundraising for a charity of the candidate’s choice, which makes it different from most pageants.

Parbhoo is a finalist under the queen category. She has been supporting Kingsway School, an underprivileged school in Honeydew.

Recently she was involved providing meals for the 250 children of the school and arranged a donation of stationery of up to R5 200 from Park Avenue Stationers. Her next event with the school will be holding an educational talk with the children on 24 May.

“I look forward to creating more brand awareness for the Miss Inspire South Africa as it is a really powerful initiative for women from all over South Africa to start making a difference in their communities. Empower, inspire and educate is the way to go,” said Parbhoo, who has also started her own women empowerment programme and had her first class earlier in the year.

“I felt I wanted to be part of an initiative that would create a platform which supports women empowerment. This is a reason why I want to be involved with Miss Inspire as it gives me the opportunity to inspire many individuals throughout the country,” she added.

To vote for Parbhoo and increase her chance of winning the crown at the Miss Inspire South Africa 2017 finale on 13 May, SMS ‘win Bhijal’ to 47439. Each SMS costs R3 and voters can SMS as many times as they like.
