Randburg police recently held a crime awareness campaign to educate local business owners and customers about safety and security. Their goal was to inform these shop owners on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
Shop owners can use the following tips:
- Maintain visibility throughout the store
- Keep the facility well lit
- Do not keep a large amount of cash inside the store and change your pattern of banking
- Remain alert and watchful for suspicious activity
- Take precautions during the opening and closing of the facility
- Be aware of your surroundings all the time
