Somewhere in time exhibits at The Willows

KELLAND – Two artists, one weekend, a whole lot of talent to showcase at the Willow Estate.

After a successful collaborative exhibition at CO2LAB gallery in Craighall Park, two local artists are combining efforts again to present an exhibition of their works at the clubhouse of The Willows Estate in Kelland.

Clare Hearne and Elsa Stadler met less than a year ago and they soon discovered that honest self-expression, a passion for painting, and commitment to growth were mutual traits in their pursuit to express themselves on canvas.

“This also proved to be the foundation for an easy flowing work relationship,” said Stadler.

She said although their work is very different in medium, style and technique (Hearne paints in oils, watercolour and soft pastels, while Stadler uses mostly acrylics and in some instances mixed media), their paintings ‘live happily together’ in a shared space.

“What the viewer can expect to see, is an interesting mix of realism and abstraction, traditional and modern interpretations,” said Stadler.

The exhibition runs from 3 to 5 November and promises to be a weekend of art appreciation as there will also be a live performance by local band, Margaret’s Daughter on 4 November.
