Magical year for Wandsworth School

BOSKRUIN – R10 000 was donated to Wandsworth School in Boskruin this week by the Randburg Harriers Running Club.

R10 000 was donated to Wandsworth School in Boskruin this week by the Randburg Harriers Running Club.

Wandsworth School is for children with special educational needs, including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, Down’s syndrome, genetic translocations, children with global developmental delays, dual diagnoses, children with sensory integration disorders and children without a diagnosis.

The school was founded by Sue Fowlds 10t years ago and has a high staff to child ratio. The donation is a portion of the ticket sales at the Adrienne Hersch Challenge and forms part of the inaugural Discovery Vitality Run Series.

This is not the first time Randburg Harriers has supported the special needs school. Earlier this year, along with the Akorn Group, they assisted the school in retiling their bathroom and redoing the cupboards and kitchen countertop.
