Carols by candlelight in Randpark Ridge

Randpark Ridge – Come and join the candles by candlelight for a very good cause

The Christmas Light House Carols by Candlelight is still going strong after 14 years.

The Randpark Ridge home has delighted many children and adults alike with its beautiful Christmas decorations which create a festive season in the neighbourhood every December.

The Christmas light decorations at 14 Appelblaar Avenue in Randpark Ridge is a yearly highlight.

The purpose of the carols by candlelight is to raise funds and donations for Randburg SPCA, Jewels of Hope and the homeless people in the Randburg area.

Dog food, blankets, clothing, food and toys for children are the most urgent requirements.

The night will be made special, not only by the beautiful Christmas decorations but also by members of the New Harvest Church who will be sharing their beautiful voices.

Ronell and Kiana Furniss enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights.

Seattle Coffee will be serving warm beverages and a portion of their earnings will be donated to the charity fund. Candles will also be sold and those earnings will be donated to the church.

A small market will be open between 5pm and 8pm for the convenience of the community. The lights will be turned on from 7.15pm to 11pm every night until 1 January next year.

Tamryn-Leigh Semper is delighted to once again bring joy to the community and make young and old smile as they drive past her house.

“The community has been truly incredible over the years and the joy the lights bring to those who visit our home from far and wide, make our hearts happy.

The lights were sponsored by the Paley family and Flame Corporation and we are grateful for their help. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy the carols and the festive feeling through the month of December,” said Semper.

The Carols by Candlelight will be hosted on 15 December at 14 Appelblaar Avenue from 7pm.

The drop-off point will also be at the same address. The community is welcome to attend the event and community members are encouraged to bring along a donation.
