Deputy high school head, Belinda Gibson said, “One of the most important values at our school is looking after the community. Every single learner at our school feels very strongly about giving back to our community.
“This is their way of saying that they recognise what people go through, and the children are showing their contribution,
“Our target is to raise R30 000 for Cansa; last year we raised R25 000.”
Older learners and volunteer parents helped to shave, spray and tie ribbons in the little one’s hair.

Sixteen girls had their long locks of hair cut clean off to support the annual initiative.
Donations were raised by the schoolchildren themselves and were donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).
