Following delays with outstanding reports, pre-sentencing proceedings are expected to get underway at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on 9 March in the case against Vicki Momberg who was found guilty on four counts of crimen injuria in November last year.
At her last court appearance in January, the case could not proceed as the probation officer’s report was outstanding. It is expected that the report will be handed in and sentencing procedures will proceed.
Momberg was caught on video in 2016 uttering racist remarks to a black police officer at the scene where she had claimed to have been a smash-and-grab victim.
