A visual journey depicting the Crucifixion
LINDEN – Relive the journey of Jesus Christ at Roosevelt Baptist Church in Linden.
To Christians, the journey of Jesus Christ on His way to the cross, is one of the most inspiring and emotional passages in the Bible.
The Roosevelt Baptist Church will relive this sacred journey of Christ in the church by creating points of reflections with models that depict important events during this journey.

From the depiction of The Last Supper to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed, each station will resonate with Christians. The church has held the annual event for the last six years and plans to continue with it.

The church’s secretary, Elsa Smith was proud of the event and said that for her, seeing the depictions in person is much better.
“It has a bigger impact and reminds people of how Jesus Christ died on the cross,” said Smith. “This is what Easter is all about and to remember the sacrifice made for us. There is also a depiction of the cross where Jesus was crucified as well as His crown of thorns and the whips used to lash Him.”
The journey of Christ will be on 28 March from 5pm to 9pm and on 29 March from 5pm to 6pm followed by a Tenebrae (shadow) Service. There will also be a service on 30 March and 1 April at 9am.
