Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge High School recently participated in a Blankethon where they made 101 blankets as part of their community outreach.
The Trinityhouse youngsters made 101 ‘no-sew’ polar fleece baby blankets as part of an ongoing project in which the school’s Grade 10 class has been involved in for several years.

The blankets made by this year’s class will be handed over to a clinic outreach project to be distributed to babies in the maternity and neonatal wards of hospitals such as Chris Hani Baragwanath and Helen Joseph hospitals, as well as community clinics.

Marketing officer for the school Robyn Aignworth explained that the blankets will be distributed by the Baragwanath Hospital Comforts Committee which is a hospital and clinic outreach project as well as a registered non-profit organisation.
“Well done to the students for their continued participation in this project,” said Aingworth.
