Three-week Saturday opening for Home Affairs

RANDBURG – Home Affairs in Randburg will be open on Saturdays for the next three weeks.


RANDBURG – The Department of Home Affairs in Randburg will be open on Saturdays over the next few weeks to help in the processing of identity documents.

In a statement shared with the Randburg Sun from Home Affairs by Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood, the department will be open for smart cards and reissue of identity documents applications from 8am to 1pm.

The dates that the department will be open include the following Saturdays:

  • 16 March 2019
  • 23 March 2019
  • 30 March 2019

The statement also said that learners applying for identity documents for the first time should come with one parent if married or the mother if not married.

They must carry the learner’s birth certificate and the parent’s original ID or smart card.
